What a difference a day can make!
Like Joey Tribbiani from the famous sitcom FRIENDS, shelter dog JOE is a handsome, lovable character who has spent a lifetime looking for a lucky break.
A Singapore Special, Joe was a stray pup that endeared himself to the kind ladies who founded OSCAS (Oasis Second Chance for Animals Shelter), and was eventually rescued and brought back to the shelter. OSCAS has been his home for the last seven to eight years and despite his humble surroundings, this big boy has kept up his happy spirit!
Always popular with all the volunteers, Joe had been to countless adoption drives over the years ... always hoping for a lucky break and never succeeding, until this March.
PAINTING WITH POOCHES AT UWCSEA EAST CAMPUS FAMILY FESTIVAL 2017 - THE DAY IT ALL CHANGED!
It was one small act of kindness and a life-changing day for Joe ... little did this chilled out dude know this opportunity would lead to open hearts and a better life!
The UWCSEA East Campus team opened their doors to Loyal.D's popular Painting with Pooches concept and for the first time, allowed dogs to enter their campus during their Family Festival on 25th of March 2017. OSCAS dogs and star pawdels Joe and Camper not only helped make the participants paintings pawsome, they also attracted a lot of attention and sympathy from kind students, parents and staff. Jason and his lovely family met Joe and it looked like love at first wag!
It was a meeting meant to be - Jason and his family recently lost their family cat after 18 years and were ready to adopt a dog and Joe won them all over with his affable personality. The Loyal.D team used the money raised through Painting with Pooches and other donations to get Joe a complete health check-up, teeth cleaning and vaccinations updated.
Today, he starts his two-week home stay with his potential forever loving home. The Nesbitts have changed Joe's luck by accepting him into their family and we are sure he will change their lives with his happy, doggy joy for life!
End Note: Camper, in the photos above, and many other dogs like him are still looking for a loving home. If you would to meet them, drop us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org
